Life Resorts steadies for expansion
1 July
While the global recession prompts conservatism in the hospitality industry, Life Resorts is plowing ahead with investment in new developments and human resources in Asia.
“We don’t have any doubts in the long-term viability of this market, or our model,” said Chris Duffy, general director of the Life Resorts Management Company. “Rather than retrench, we’ve decided to invest.”
The resort company recently announced the appointment of a general manager for its new resort property on Ha Long Bay, with Stuart Murphy overseeing the Ha Long project, as well as Life’s developments in Da Nang and Ninh Binh.
By the end of the year, Life Resorts plans to launch five boats as part of Life Heritage Resort Ha Long Bay, with Benjamin Schibli named as pre-opening manager/general manager.
