Traveltalk September 2009
Boy have we clocked up some travel miles over the past month to bring together the copy for this issue.
The super-low airfares and seemingly endless options for holiday ideas has seen the Traveltalk team focus on family holidays – with popular favourites, as well as some unusual experiences, like fighting ninjas.
The task saw us explore a range of family getaways in Asia, Europe and Australia, along with some great snow holidays for the upcoming ski season in the northern hemisphere.
While all were fabulous, there were a few stand-outs like tigers in Thailand and the amazing Sunway Lagoon theme park.
Closer to home we took a look at our own backyard, with a short break down to Margaret River, to rediscover some of the family fun along the beaches and forests.
And for those looking for a driving holiday with a difference, we can thoroughly recommend the Darwin to Alice Springs trip along the Explorers Way. 1600 kilometres of authentic Australia that is hard to beat.
There’s also stories looking at how long the low fares will last, as well as some tips from frequent flyers as to how to make your trip as safe and enjoyable as possible.
